What Is Energy
Space Design?
The practice of selecting and placing art with intention — so that the space becomes an active participant in your wellbeing.
Art as Living Architecture
Most people choose art because they like how it looks. Energy Space Design begins with a different question: How do you want this room to feel?
Every painting carries a frequency — a particular quality of energy that it holds and radiates into the space around it. Deep violet holds stillness. Sage green holds restoration. Gold holds warmth and expansion. Rose holds softness and opening. These are not metaphors: they are observable shifts in the felt sense of a room.
When art is chosen and placed with this understanding, a space becomes more than beautiful. It becomes a container — for rest, for clarity, for creative work, for grief, for healing. The painting does not merely decorate the wall. It actively participates in the life lived in front of it.
This is the foundation of Energy Space Design. And it is why every painting Dominika creates is built around a specific somatic intention — a felt quality she embeds through the process, the palette, and the layering of materials.
A room with the right painting is never just a room. It is a practice.

Four Principles
These are the principles that guide every painting Dominika creates and every space she helps to design.
Somatic First
Every painting decision — palette, texture, movement, scale — is made through the body first. Before any aesthetic consideration, Dominika asks: what does this do to the nervous system? What does it invite the body to do?
Intentional Colour
Each colour in the palette is chosen for its somatic resonance. Violet slows the breath and deepens presence. Sage grounds and restores. Gold opens and warms. Rose softens boundaries. These qualities are not incidental — they are the purpose.
Scale as Presence
A painting that is too small for its space retreats. A painting sized for its space holds the room. Every work in the collection is sized to be fully present — not decorative, but architectural in its effect on the energy of the space.
Placement as Practice
Where a painting hangs matters as much as the painting itself. Eye level. Sightline from the door. Natural light source. The space between it and the nearest piece of furniture. Dominika considers all of this — and is available to discuss it with every collector.
What Each Colour Holds
Violet
Threshold · Depth · Stillness
Violet slows the breath and invites the mind to quieten. It holds space for introspection and the kind of stillness that precedes insight. Best for: meditation rooms, therapy spaces, bedrooms.
Sage
Restoration · Nature · Groundedness
Sage reconnects the body with the organic world. It holds a quiet aliveness — neither exciting nor sedating. It restores without demanding attention. Best for: living rooms, studios, reading spaces.
Gold
Warmth · Expansion · Abundance
Gold opens the chest and invites ease. It holds a generosity of feeling — a sense that there is enough. It creates rooms that feel simultaneously luminous and grounded. Best for: dining rooms, entryways, creative studios.
Rose
Softness · Opening · Tenderness
Rose softens the room and the person in it. It holds the quality of being allowed to be gentle. It creates permission for vulnerability and quiet joy. Best for: bedrooms, therapy rooms, nurturing spaces.

A painting made for your specific space and frequency
If you have a clear sense of what you need your space to hold — or if you need help discovering it — a commissioned work may be the most powerful option. Every commission begins with a conversation.
