Available for Private CollectionPortal is a threshold — not a place to arrive at, but a moment of crossing. The deep violet field holds a luminous opening: something between a wound and a window. Standing before it, many visitors report a physical sensation of stillness, of being both held and released at once.
Created during an intensive studio week in late autumn, the painting emerged from Dominika's exploration of somatic thresholds — the moments in the body where one state ends and another begins. The layering technique uses fifteen individual pours, each allowed to dry before the next is applied.
